The Viva Noir
The Viva Noir is a post-punk, garage, and Britpop inspired group from Buffalo, NY. The band was formed in the winter of 2007 after a long, lost weekend spent spinning records and imbibing many a drink at local Queen City watering holes. The Viva’s meld the energy and desperation of ’77 punk rock with the pop sensibility of post-punk groups like The Smiths.
Members: J. Taylor Braley – vocals, guitars; Angel Rivera – guitars, keyboards; Jayme Kelly – percussion; Mike Micale– bass (replaced Rich Flierl—now of Dotsun Moon fame—who replaced founding member Josh Garverick in 2009).
