Bands

The Viva Noir is a post-punk, garage, and Britpop inspired group from Buffalo, NY. The band was formed in the winter of 2007 after a long, lost weekend spent spinning records and imbibing many a drink at local Queen City watering holes. The Viva’s meld the energy and desperation of ’77 punk rock with the pop sensibility of post-punk groups like The Smiths.

The dynamic duo of Moore and Fiasco began recording under the Yeast moniker in 2006 and played a handful of legendary and chaotic shows in western New York before Fiasco departed for Houston, TX. They continue to collaborate from a distance, creating mind-blowing arrangements that meld block-rocking beats with crushing metal guitar riffs.

The Textbook Committee was a snotty, altcountry/punk group who were often compared to the early Replacements.  They drank too much, smoked too much, and rocked too hard. A business plan which, surprisingly, proved entirely unsustainable.  The group called it quits in 2006, leaving behind hundreds of home recorded demos and live tracks.  Some of these will be released here…if we can ever sort through them all.
